Be it telling urban stories that talk about burning issues related to today’s youth like Saheb, which is based on student politics, or a contemporary love story like Sharato Lagu where the lead pair decides to get into a live-in relationship before they decide to get married, Gujarati films are surely changing. And actor Malhar Thakar, whose these two films have made an impact with the audience feels that films are a mirror to our changing society and telling stories that touch the right chords with the audience is important. He says, “As the stories we tell are young at heart, keeping our young audience in mind, we need to treat them in such a way that they reflect the right mood. Today’s generation is frank, out there and bold. So, the stories too need to be like that.”
